“Safer Internet Day”, also known as (SID), was held on the 17 th of February 2020 at
Cebanc; its goal is to stress the positive nature of Internet. The following motto
was chosen for this year: “Better Internet starts with you: learning cyber
security together.”
The event was promoted by the INSAFE/INHOPE network with the support of the
European Commission. The network is to be found at the following address:

held on the second day of the second week of the second month of the year and
brings together millions of people from all over the world to create positive
change and arouse awareness of Internet security through a range of events and
activities. Its aim is to promote the safe and positive use of digital technologies,
above all by children and teenagers.
Venan Llena, followed by fellow teacher Xabi Diez, delivered the training sessions
which were attended by students from the first year of the tertiary level
Computer Application Development course (EQF5) and others from the pre-
tertiary Microcomputer Systems and Networks course (EQF34).

The event closed with a meeting with students taking part in the forthcoming C1
activity in Estonia (Teaching Activities Week).
